The Directorate of School Health warns of an increase in Corona indicators during the second week of schools among teachers

Two weeks after the start of the school year, many cases of cold spread among school students, according to the follow-ups of many public health doctors, which are feared to be a peak for the spread of the Corona virus among them, especially since colds spread clearly during this transitional time of the year.
The Director of School Health at the Ministry of Education, Dr. Hatoon Al-Tawashi, said that during the second week of school work, and after students settled in their classes, an increase in indicators of corona infection was observed.
According to Al-Tawashi’s assertions, in exclusive statements to “Hashtag”, the number of injuries he recorded among teachers was much greater than those recorded among students.
During the first week of school work, Al-Tawashi indicated that after examining the suspected cases, it was found that one injury was recorded for a student in Damascus Governorate, while a number of injuries were detected among the teachers and administrators in some schools.
The Director of School Health confirmed to the increase in the number of cases of PCR swabs during the second week of school work after its stabilization, pending the approval of the Ministry of Health to increase the number of laboratories that are examined, which, if approved, will improve the situation further, she said.
Nevertheless, Al-Tawashi concludes by saying: “We stress the need to follow preventive measures to protect against infection with Corona, and the need for teachers to take the anti-virus vaccine to protect against infection.”
Yesterday, the Ministry of Health recorded 169 new infections with the Corona virus, bringing the total number to 29,974, and the recovery of 43 of the recorded cases, bringing the total number to 22,880, and the death of 7 of the recorded infections, bringing the total number to 2097.
