The Security and Military Committee is following the settlement process in the city of Tafas, and the Syrian army is scheduled to deploy in several points, most notably the hospital and the post office, in addition to strengthening the main military sites in the city and its surroundings, amid the readiness of a number of cities for approval and the initiative of some of them to collect weapons to hand them over to the army without waiting for approval on any settlement.
The outcome of the settlement agreement in the city of Tafas in the western countryside of Daraa reached about 460 people, including armed men and those wanted for military service.
Special sources in the city of Daraa told “hashtag” that the people in the city of Inkhil announced their acceptance of the settlement proposed by the state and took the initiative to collect weapons to be handed over to the army, after several meetings between the security committee and tribal elders.
The sources indicated that there are civil attempts underway in Jassim city as well to initiate the collection of weapons to be handed over to the army, amid expectations that the approval to enter into the settlement will be announced today.
At this time, the status settlements are being completed and the weapons handed over in Muzayrib, where the number of those whose statuses have been settled reached 135, including 62 fleeing from the Syrian army, and a number of weapons were handed over.
Units from the army and the competent authorities entered Tafas on Saturday morning in implementation of the settlement terms, and a center was opened to settle the situation and hand over weapons at the girls’ secondary school headquarters in the city.
