Unidentified persons attacked the mission of the Red Crescent in As-Suwayda today, Monday, and stole a car belonging to it, according to a statement by the organization condemning the incident that affected its mission this morning.
According to the statement published by the organization’s branch page in As-Suwayda, the attack took place at 4:15 am this morning and resulted in the theft of a Toyota Water and Rehabilitation Team car, a model (Land Cruiser) bearing the plate number (688119 Damascus).
In its statement, the organization called for respecting its emblem to ensure the safety of its cadres and facilitate the implementation of its tasks, stressing that all its crews work in accordance with the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and always strive to deliver its humanitarian services to all those in need and alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable in all circumstances.
The statement concluded with an announcement that it disclaims responsibility for any use of the car since the date of its loss, and if you see it, please inform the concerned authorities.
The mission had previously been subjected to a similar attack in As-Suwayda in 2020, during which a car and other property was stolen.
