The French authorities have received dozens of their citizens from the families of ISIS fighters who are in camps in northeastern Syria.
French Foreign Ministry announced in a statement published today, Tuesday, the return of 35 minors, along with 16 of their mothers, who were living in camps controlled by the “Syrian Democratic Forces” in northern Syria.
In its statement, the ministry said: “France has today returned 35 French minors who were in camps in northeastern Syria to its territory. This operation also includes the return of 16 mothers from the same camps.”
The statement indicated that the aforementioned women were handed over to the judicial authorities, while the minors were handed over to childcare services.
