Mysterious disease kills 3 people in Tanzania

Tanzanian authorities have announced that they have sent a team of doctors and health experts to investigate a mysterious disease that has killed three people in the southeast of the country.

disease discovery

And the French press agency quoted Aifello Sichalwe, the chief medical officer of the government, as saying in a statement last Wednesday that the disease, whose symptoms include nosebleeds, fever, headache and fatigue, was discovered in the Lindi region.
“The government has formed a team of experts who are still investigating this unknown disease,” the statement added, urging residents to calm down. It was revealed that 13 people were diagnosed with the disease, three of whom died.
“The patients’ test results reveal that they are not infected with the Ebola, Marburg or Covid-19 viruses,” Sichalwe said.
One of the injured was cured and the rest were placed in solitary confinement.
Two injuries in Ghana
Ghana announced last week that it had detected two cases of Marburg virus, which causes hemorrhagic fever that can be fatal, like Ebola.
At a gathering on Tuesday, Tanzanian President Samia Solho Hassan said the “strange” disease discovered in Linde may have been caused by the “increasing mixing” of humans and animals due to the deteriorating environmental situation.
