Today, Friday, Egyptian media sources reported that the local authorities arrested 11 suspects, who formed a terrorist cell in Egypt affiliated with ISIS in Syria.
Investigations revealed that the first accused, Amr Ahmed, had embraced the takfiri ideas of the ISIS group based on the infidelity of the ruler and the legitimacy of revolt against him, and the necessity of fighting him and members of the armed forces and the police on the pretext of not applying Islamic Sharia, according to the “Cairo 24” website.
Investigations revealed that the accused had received assignments to establish a cluster cell in the country, which would carry out hostile acts with the aim of overthrowing the state, affecting its economic and social components, and harming national unity and social peace.
The investigations added that in the context of rehabilitating the cell members to achieve the group’s goals, a program was prepared for them, in which they depended on preparing them intellectually by holding organizational meetings, studying takfiri ideas and trends, and reading them through websites.
