The Arab League considered that if the Somalis did not find their strength because of that famine, members of the people and tribes would turn to “works that could not be acceptable.”
The Arab League pointed out that these actions could affect the Red Sea region, East Africa, the Arabian Peninsula and Yemen, as a result of the migration of millions of people in search of food.

help Somalis

The Arab League explained that the Somali issue was discussed in the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers, noting that there are some basic ideas related to helping the Somali people.
