It is noteworthy that IGAD is holding the 39th Extraordinary Emergency Summit in Kenya today, with the participation of the leaders of member states and governments of the organization.
The summit is scheduled to discuss issues and files that contribute to strengthening the leaders’ efforts to address the region’s challenges.
Those challenges are peace and security, drought, desertification and climate change issues.
This is in addition to food security issues and the repercussions of Corona and its impact on the economic situation in the region.

What was described as “a behavior that is inconsistent with all laws and customs of war and international humanitarian law.”
