The Russian news agency “Tass” reported on Saturday that President Vladimir Putin visited the Operations Command of the ongoing war in Ukraine, which includes all branches involved in the fighting.
“TASS” quoted Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov as saying that Putin was briefed on the work of the leadership, which briefed him on “the progress of the special military operation,” which is the official name given by Moscow to its war in Ukraine.
She added that Putin held a conference with the military leaders and then held separate meetings with them.
“On Friday, President Vladimir Putin acted in command of the military branches participating in the special military operation,” Peskov continued.
The presidential spokesperson did not give more details about the visit, which comes considering Moscow’s reliance on missiles and drones to strike Ukrainian infrastructure.

Fighting is also intensifying in the east of the country, where the Russians recently made advances in the Donetsk region of the Donbass region.
Since October, Russia has adopted the tactic of massive strikes aimed at destroying electricity networks and transformers.
Moscow believes that striking the Ukrainian infrastructure is inevitable to confront what it says are “Ukrainian provocative attacks.”
The West says that Russia is preparing for a long war in Ukraine, especially as the fighting is approaching its tenth month.
