An Emirati official criticizes the Western position on the Ukrainian crisis: “They focus on Putin and ignore the essence of the issue.”

Lieutenant-General Dhahi Khalfan, Deputy Chief of Dubai Police, criticized the Western countries’ stance on the Ukrainian crisis, pointing to Western leaders’ focus on Putin and their neglect of the essence of the issue.
In a series of tweets, the Emirati security official said that Putin is a head of state, when its national security is threatened, it stops it.
Khalfan wrote about this matter, saying: “Western leaders who are called in the name of Putin…as if the war is Putin war and not Russian-Ukrainian war, they are turning the issue as if it were a personal issue confined to Putin, noting that “Putin is the head of a state…when its national security is exposed to danger, it stands to repel it.”
The Deputy Chief of Dubai Police stressed that the West wants to prolong the Ukrainian-Russian war to defy Putin, and they are trying to obstruct the Russian forces from reaching their goals in securing its national security. More fighting in Ukraine is a wrong direction, first and foremost detrimental to Ukraine’s interests.
Khalfan considered that “Ukraine has become a sword wielded in the hands of the West against Russia,” pointing to the mixing and overlap of the Russian and Ukrainian peoples, and the lack of integrity of the West in dealing with the crisis. He wrote: “This strange crowd of Western countries between two neighboring countries; Mixed, but the West stands by Ukraine against Russia.
He added, “If the West intervened as a mediator between the Russian and Ukrainian warring parties, we would know that the West’s goals are honest, but its intervention with the support of one party over another has only one meaning.”
The Deputy Chief of Dubai Police revealed the reason for the West’s interference in the Ukrainian crisis in a wrong and malicious way and its dangerous repercussions, noting that the wisdom “is not in igniting more fighting in Ukraine… the wisdom in the ability to silence the guns through peaceful endeavors and the call for peace.”
The Emirati security official stressed that “the hatred of Western countries for Russia is not justified, as the wars that Western countries have waged against the countries of the world are countless.”
