Cavusoglu: Turkey may launch a military operation in Syria at any moment

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Ankara is ready to launch the military operation in Syria at any moment.

The Turkish minister Cavusoglu said, in statements to the Turkish “100” channel, today, Wednesday, that “Russia and the United States have not fulfilled their promises regarding Syria.”
He pointed out that “Russia is seeking to merge the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) with the Syrian government forces.”

The Syrian army is ready

At this time, the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced the readiness of the Syrian army to confront any possible aggression by Turkey and its affiliated organizations.
A military source said, “With the intensification of provocations by the Turkish regime on Syrian territory during the past two days, we affirm that the Syrian army is ready to confront any possible aggression by this regime and its terrorist organizations.”

The official Syrian news agency, SANA, stated that “the Turkish army renewed its attacks on Syrian territory.”
According to the agency, “artillery targeted the vicinity of the village of Tal Ziwan, located 15 km northwest of the city of Qamishli.”
The targeting resulted in the injury of a civilian by shrapnel of a shell that fell in the vicinity of the village, material damage and the displacement of a large number families.
