The Director General of Civil Aviation in Syria, Basem Mansour, said that amid the measures taken by many countries regarding restricting the movement of passengers, and returning some of the ban measures, due to the developments of the Corona virus, the Syrian air movement is still within the number of its normal flights, denying the cancellation of any of the Trips according to the established schedule.
In a special statement to “Hashtag”, Mansour confirmed that the number of scheduled flights was not reduced according to the schedule followed at the airport, but rather the number of passengers per flight decreased, and this matter, according to him, is normal, due to the lack of movement and movement during the winter season.
Mansour indicated that it is expected that at the beginning of the summer season, which will start next April, the airport will witness greater air traffic, especially after implementing many preventive measures against the Corona virus in Syria and around the world, stressing that air traffic in all countries of the world decreases during the Winter season and this is the case with Syrian airports, with a commitment to permanent movement with some countries such as the Gulf states, in which flights continue on a regular basis until now.
And the Director General of Civil Aviation confirmed that the percentage of the number of vaccinators against the Corona virus increased during the recent period, by departures from Syrian airports, and it was replaced by the “pcr” examination, noting at the same time, that more than 92 percent of those coming to Syria are from Vaccines.
Regarding what “hashtag” revealed earlier, about preparations to announce the entry of a new airline to Syrian Airlines, Mansour said that it was expected that the company would enter the Syrian aviation market at the beginning of this year, “but the issue of the procedures was not completed until now.” Now, no agreement has been reached.”
