Egypt: New measures for arrivals include rapid DNA testing

Egypt announced that it will conduct a rapid examination upon arrival to all arrivals from countries where (Corona) changes have occurred, whether Egyptians or non-Egyptians. At all ports of entry into the country (land, sea, and air).

The statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Health yesterday did not specify the countries from which the arrivals will undergo the rapid DNA test (IDNO), which takes 15 minutes.

And “Hala Zayed”, the Egyptian Minister of Health, announced that “additional precautionary measures have been taken for the virus, through quarantine at all entry points to the country, in conjunction with the emergence of new virus mutations in a number of countries in the world.”

According to Khalid Mujahid, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Media and Awareness, “Rapid DNA testing is one of the modern technologies Which is characterized by speed and accuracy in detecting injuries in a period not exceeding 15 minutes.

All measures of epidemiological surveillance of the virus will continue to be implemented in quarantine at all ports of entry into the country, as well as the continuation of conducting all laboratory and clinical examinations for arrivals to Egypt from all countries of the world. And not to enter the country until after obtaining a BCR certificate stating that it is virus-free.

The total number that was registered in Egypt with the virus, is 235140, including 175,928 cases that have been cured, and 13779 deaths.
