Five thousand Jordanians entered Syria through “Naseeb” during Eid

Jordanian media estimated the number of departures from Jordanian territory towards Syrian territory, through the Nassib-Jaber border center, during the Eid al-Fitr period, at about 5,000 passengers.
The Jordanian “Kingdom” channel said that the Jaber border center witnessed an “active movement” for Jordanian travelers and other nationalities, during the Eid period, noting that the number of departures within 3 days reached about 5,000 passengers, most of whom were Jordanians in the form of “tourist groups”.
Regarding the movement of arrivals, the channel stated that it was “weak”, as it reached about 1,100 arrivals, most of them Syrians, in transit towards the Omari border, which links Jordan with Saudi Arabia.
With regard to the movement of vehicles, the number of incoming and outgoing trucks reached about 220, while the number of vehicles reached 342 incoming and 553 leaving, and the “Kingdom” indicated that it was “weak.”
The channel said that, compared to the current average monthly rate, the number of passengers, between incoming and outgoing, is about 60,000 people, while the number of trucks is about 7,500, and the number of vehicles is 14,000, between incoming and outgoing.
At the end of last year, SANA said that the volume of Syrian exports between Syria and Jordan through the crossing amounted to 5,300 trucks, adding that during the last quarter of 2021, the average number of trucks loaded with exports that crossed the customs secretariat of the crossing was 75 trucks per day.

The opening of the Nassib-Jaber crossing between Syria and Jordan began in October 2018, after it was closed for three years after opposition factions took control of the area, only to be reopened after the Syrian army took control of the entire border province of Daraa with Jordan.
