Gunmen intercept a student bus while they were heading to exams in Daraa

Today, Thursday, gunmen intercepted a bus carrying high school certificate “baccalaureate” students as they were heading to exams in Daraa city.

The gunmen intercepted the bus, and forced the driver to stop by force of arms, on the road between the towns of “Al-Musaifra – Umm Walad” in the eastern countryside of Daraa.

The gunmen stole the mobile phones of the students and the bus driver, in addition to the money they had.

It is noteworthy that this operation is the first of its kind in this region, where there are several military points belonging to the Syrian army, as confirmed by the sources.

The sources did not mention whether the militants were sleeper cells affiliated with the remnants of militias or military factions that were active in the area before its liberation by the Syrian army in 2017, or whether they are thieves who have increased greatly in recent years with widespread poverty and security chaos in some areas.
