Have sharks arrived from Suez to the Syrian coast?

More than 70 fish species migrated from the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean, as a result of climatic changes and the opening of the Suez Canal.
In the depths
Regarding the arrival of sharks through the Suez Canal to the Syrian coast, the Director-General of the General Authority for Fish Resources, Abdul Latif Ali, told “Hashtag” that the Syrian marine waters contain 43 species of sharks that live in the depths and do not come close to the shore.
It didn’t happen
The social networking sites reported news of the arrival of the killer sharks to the Syrian coast, the director of fishery resources confirmed that there was no harm to tourists or fishermen previously on the Syrian coast by sharks.
last sentence
The media recently reported the news of the death of a Dutch tourist in Egypt due to a shark attack in a tourist resort south of Hurghada on the Red Sea coast while swimming. And that the last sentence she conveyed to her husband was: “I will be back in a little while,” but she did not return!
The media also reported that the coast in Egypt contains dangerous types of sharks, and every year it witnesses unfortunate incidents of sharks attacking people.
This raised the fears of the Syrians, especially the coastal residents in Tartous governorate, for fear of shark transmission to Syrian waters through the Suez Canal.
In a previous statement
Malik Alia, a professor of ichthyology at the Faculty of Agriculture at Tishreen University, told a local website that since the opening of the Suez Canal, strange types of fish have appeared in Syrian waters.

Because it crosses from the Suez Canal towards the Mediterranean coming from the Red Sea.
strange species
Alia indicated that during the last twenty years, strange species began to appear at higher rates than before as a result of climate fluctuations, and the increased interest by researchers in observing the living creatures inside the depths. Which led to an increase in the frequency of registration of alien species in the Syrian coast.

It does not attack

Alia pointed out that sharks belonging to cartilaginous fish are the species found in the coast, where 43 species of cartilaginous fish have been recorded (sharks, chimeras), pointing out that they are not dangerous and that they do not attack humans, with the exception of two strange species from Syrian waters, whose appearance was recorded. They are called “chimera, the cow”, but this species does not come close to the shore.
