“Israeli” aggression on Latakia targeted civilians: one martyr and six wounded

“Israeli” aggression at dawn today, Wednesday, in Lattakia governor.
military source was quoted by SANA news agency as saying that the attack took place at 2:18am targeting southwest Latakia and other “coastal areas”.
“Our air defense units confronted the aggression’s missiles and dropped some of them,” he said.
Earlier, state media had reported explosions near Latakia, which were heard by residents across the city and its outskirts.
According to media reports, a civilian plastics factory was hit in Latakia city, causing material damage.
Those wounded in the attack were all civilians, and among them was a woman and her daughter, SANA reported.
The Governor of Latakia, Ibrahim Al-Salem, spoke to Al-Watan about removing the traces of the “Israeli aggression” on the targeted civilian sites in the governorate today, and restoring the electrical current.
The “Israeli” military did not immediately comment. “Israel” has launched hundreds of attacks against Syria. And Latakia governorate was previously subjected to an “Israeli” aggression in September 2018.
It was the first “Israeli” attack on Syria since a missile fired by Damascus struck deep inside “Israel” two weeks ago. The missile landed in southern “Israel” on April 22, “Israel” attacked with airstrikes on the missile launcher and other targets in Syria.
And the “AuroraIntel” website, which specializes in tracking aviation traffic, stated through its account on “Twitter”, “this was a larger scale operation than the usual airstrikes we have seen in the last several months”.
And the frequency of the attacks has escalated with “Israeli” raids, usually targeting the vicinity of Damascus since the beginning of this year.
According to the annual report of the “Israeli” army for the past year, it carried out 50 air strikes on targets in Syria during the year 2020.
The “Israeli raids” are similar in terms of timing and bombing method, as they were all launched at night, and with “air-to-ground” missiles launched from warplanes.
