After the “Asayish” forces of the “Self-Management” took control of most of the Tai neighborhood in Qamishli, on April 26, they asked, according to a statement, the neighborhood residents who had left their homes to review their “security points” in order to “secure entry and ensure the safety of their belongings.
Special sources in the province spoke to “Hashtag” about a series of raids carried out by the “SDF” on dozens of civilian homes in the Tay neighborhood under the pretext of “searching for weapons and arresting members of the National Defense”.
On June 6, the official Syrian news agency “SANA” quoted unnamed local sources as saying that the SDF had kidnapped six young men from the neighborhood and took them to an unknown destination.
The sources told “Hashtag” that violations against the residents of the neighborhood are still continuing, and vary between “beatings, kidnappings, arresting residents and searching their homes.”
According to the sources, the people of the neighborhood are suffering from a crisis in securing bread and securing domestic gas, as gas has not been distributed to the people for two months, except once and in a limited number.
The sources confirmed to “Hashtag” that “the promises announced by the SDF to provide the residents with what they need in the event of their return to the neighborhood have vanished, and the people of Tai are suffering from great harassment according to the complaints they can announce.”
