Today, Wednesday, the Vice President of the Emirates, Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid, directed the transfer of all families affected by the rains and torrential rains that hit the country to temporary shelters.
Bin Rashid directed UAE Ministry of Community Development to move all families affected by rain and torrential rain in the eastern regions of the country to temporary shelter sites, according to the Emirates News Agency.
It included booking nearby hotels to accommodate all affected families, and families living in areas that may pose a danger to their residents, during the heavy rains.

urgent committee

In this context, the UAE Cabinet formed an urgent committee headed by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and the federal authorities, to work on limiting the damages of the torrential rains in the country.
The Council called on the committee to submit a detailed report on the damages, and to immediately start taking all necessary measures to protect property and lives, in coordination with the security and police authorities and municipalities.

Citizens’ Appeal

The committee, which was formed, appealed to citizens and residents, especially in mountainous areas, to take caution and stay away from the streams of valleys and torrents, and to immediately report any accidents.
The committee stressed the importance of all individuals responding to the instructions and directives of the concerned authorities, in order to preserve lives, property and infrastructure facilities.

During the past hours, the UAE witnessed a state of weather fluctuations and unprecedented rainfall in a number of residential areas and neighborhoods.
The rains led to torrential rains in several regions of the country, causing damage to buildings and residential properties.
