Russia: The Syrian air defense destroyed most of the “Israeli” missiles during the recent aggression

Russia revealed that the air defense systems of the Syrian Arab Army destroyed most of the “Israeli” missiles that targeted Homs Governorate, at dawn on Wednesday.
The deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Rear Admiral Vadim Kolet, said that “the Syrian air defense forces destroyed ten Israeli missiles out of 12 that targeted Homs.”
“The air defense forces of the Syrian Arab Army were able to confront the aggression, using two Russian-made Pantsir-S and Buk-M2E air defense systems,” Kolet said in statements to the Russian “TASS” news agency.
Kolet added: “The aggression took place when 6 F-16 fighters belonging to the Israeli Air Force launched a guided missile strike from Lebanese airspace on targets in Homs Governorate.”
And “Kolet ” had previously announced last month that “the Syrian military command took a decision not to use  the defense means, during the implementation of the “Israeli” enemy’s aggression on Homs on October 13 due to the presence of two civilian passenger planes that were carrying out two flights from Dubai to Beirut and from Baghdad to Damascus during the moment of the Israeli air attack, which was hidden by the two planes, within the area of fire of the systems.
According to “SANA,” two Syrian civilians were martyred, another civilian was wounded, and six soldiers in the Syrian Arab Army were wounded, in an “Israeli” aggression on the city of Homs, at dawn on Wednesday.
The Russian Pantsir-S air defense system is an effective means for protecting various civilian and military facilities or for covering medium and long-range anti-aircraft missile systems.
