Russian aviation destroys hideouts for US-backed terrorists in the Syrian desert

Today, Friday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Russian warplanes destroyed the hideouts of a terrorist group backed by the American forces in Syria, and killed many of its members.
The ministry said in a statement that, after reconnaissance and investigation operations, a terrorist group of “Shuhada’ Brigade al-Qaryatayn” militants who were hiding in well-equipped dens in the desert were eliminated, according to TASS.
The ministry indicated that the headquarters of this terrorist group is the “Al-Tanf” area occupied by the American forces, revealing that the US Army’s special forces trained the group’s members and provided them with weapons.
The Russian Ministry of Defense published a video recording, showing the targeting process against the terrorist group in the Syrian desert.
Media reports revealed earlier that Russia had warned the US military that it would launch air strikes against allied local militants in southeast Syria.
It is not the first time that the American base has been targeted in the “Al-Tanf” area, as it was subjected to a missile attack last October, which did not result in casualties.
The “Al-Tanf” base is located 24 kilometers to the west of the “Al-Tanf” (Al-Waleed) crossing at the Syrian-Iraqi-Jordanian border triangle, in Homs Governorate.
