Al-Akhbar newspaper revealed Saudi dissatisfaction with the movement of supporters of the “Future Movement” headed by former Prime Minister “Saad Hariri” to remove pictures of candidates for the elections in the capital, Beirut.
The newspaper reported that, in conjunction with the raising of “Hariri’s” pictures in the Al-Tariq Al-Jadida area and banners calling for a boycott of the upcoming parliamentary elections in compliance with his decision, dozens of young men carried out a campaign aimed at removing pictures of candidates for the elections in most of the capital’s streets, accusing fingers in it of “Future Movement” activists.
The newspaper pointed out that visitors reported that the Saudi embassy was dissatisfied with these moves, as they contradict the approach adopted by the Kingdom calling for participation in the upcoming May 15 entitlement, accusing leaders of the Future Movement of mobilizing these groups.
The newspaper pointed out that the Secretary-General of the Future Movement, “Ahmed Hariri” receives a large share of Saudi anger, because of the role he plays in confronting the former Lebanese Prime Minister, “Fouad Siniora” and the list supported by him in the Beirut Second Constituency, and his support of candidates in the face of the forces-Siniora understanding regulations. In the rest of the circles.
The Lebanese are preparing to cast their votes in the parliamentary elections scheduled for next May 6 and 8 for those residing abroad, and on the 15th of the same month inside Lebanon.
