In the face of the gas crisis that is worsening day by day in Syria, the Syrians are waiting for more than 100 days to receive the gas message.
In the face of this reality, many of them are forced to resort to other sources of energy, such as firewood and kerosene “Babur”, or resort to the open market, which provides gas at double the price set, as its price exceeds 100,000 Syrian pounds.
Despite the official promises made by citizens about reducing the period of receiving the gas cylinder to reach the limits of fifty days, the reality indicates an increase in the period of receiving the cylinder to double the time that was specified.
Member of the Executive Office in the Damascus countryside for the fuel and mineral resources sector, Zidan Al-Sheikh, explained that sending gas messages from the “way in” company is linked to the improvement of daily domestic gas supplies to the governorate, explaining that whenever gas is available, we distribute letters to citizens to receive their allowances.
Al-Sheikh indicated that the delay in the arrival of messages to citizens is now between 100 and 110 days, not as some think that the wait is limited to 70 days.
He pointed out that the number of cylinders that are distributed daily in Damascus governorate exceeds 7,300 cylinders, and in the countryside of Damascus it reaches 11,742 gas cylinders.

Al-Sheikh confirmed that in the next few days, we will witness a relative breakthrough with the material, and the waiting for gas will be reduced from 100 days to approximately 60 days, explaining that what is currently being distributed of the material belongs to the waiting people from the third month, provided that the days are distributed sequentially later.
