Hashtag learned that the Salhiya Police Department had arrested the gang that defrauded former Prime Minister Imad Khamis.
And a special source told “Hashtag” that “the Salhiya Police Department arrested 8 people involved in the case, and they were transferred to the Criminal Security Department to complete the investigations.”
Khamis had paid a sum of one billion and 250 million Syrian pounds, as part of the full price of a house he bought in the locality of Nuri Pasha, whose price was one billion and 500 million pounds, before it became clear that Khamis had been subjected to a fraud, in which he used forged identity cards and phone numbers registered in the name of two people, one of whom is a traveler. Since 2015 and the other is deceased.
The source clarified that the gang did not dispose of the amount and it was seized in the Central Bank, indicating that Imad Khamis went to the Criminal Security Branch and gave his statement and was dealt with in the VIP way.

It is noteworthy that Imad Khamis was relieved of the duties of the prime minister in the past year 2020, and Hussein Arnous was appointed in his place.
