The high prices of dental clinics’ examinations push patients to the college clinics

In a statement to Al-Watan, a medical source stated that the profession’s prices have become expensive for the reason that all the materials that are secured are imported, and the merchant and the private sector are the ones who import all the materials and provide them to the doctors, thus controlling the price and we are witnessing a significant rise in wages, and the good of these materials It is considered more expensive, indicating that there is a demand to supply materials and supplies through the public sector.
He pointed out that there is a noticeable decrease in the number of patients attending dental clinics in the private sector, due to the impact of the current conditions and prompting many citizens to postpone treatment and limit the treatment to the necessary ones, or to not be able to do it, or to resort to the hospital of the Faculty of Dentistry at Damascus University, which led to Retreat business in clinics.
