The Ministry of Electricity announces it frankly: The current and next month are the most difficult electrically

The Director of Planning in the Ministry of Electricity, Adham Ballan, said that the current and next month are the most difficult electrically in this winter due to the high loads and demand for electricity in return for the decline in gas supplies, which reached up to 7.5 million cubic meters per day in recent days.
He told Al-Watan that there are no fixed rationing programs in the Ministry of Electricity, because the available quantities of electric energy determine the rationing programs and hours.
He added: The power stations operating on fuel are limited in their activity, and most of them are old and have low profitability, and they need maintenance and rehabilitation.
Ballan pointed out that the frequency protection activates with the increase in the loads on the network in order to protect the electrical system and not expose it to damage, especially during peak periods, pointing out that in light of the high demand for electricity, technical faults abound on the network, and this is what needs more activity and follow-up by emergency offices and repair teams. and maintenance.
The Director General of the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Corporation, Fawaz Al-Daher, had confirmed in a previous statement that the generation quantities recorded an additional decline from what they were and decreased to the limits of 1900 megawatts in recent days, coinciding with the decline in gas supplies to the limits of 7.5 million cubic meters per day, and that work is currently being done on many Alternatives and solutions to achieve any possible improvement in the generation and distribution of electric power.
