The Ministry of Health revealed a noticeable increase in the number of public hospital visitors with respiratory complaints similar to the symptoms of infection with the Corona virus.
The ministry indicated in a statement that the largest percentage of injuries were in Damascus and its countryside, Latakia and Tartous, pointing out that an increase could be recorded in the rest of the governorates.
The Ministry of Health explained that the current plan applied in hospitals is “A” and that the occupancy rate in intensive care beds is approximately 90 percent, and in isolation departments 70 percent, indicating that the capacity will be expanded or moved to plan “B” according to the need and the reality of injuries.
In its statement, the ministry revealed that the most common symptoms during the current period are pharyngeal pain, severe coughing, high fever, difficulty breathing and hypoxia, in addition to digestive symptoms.
The Ministry confirmed that all patients admitted to the care so far are not vaccinated, noting that the total number of vaccinated patients in Syria reached 2,719058, including 950,266 fully vaccinated, 1765246 first dose and 3046 booster support doses.
She called on citizens to receive the vaccine, noting that vaccination against the virus is available and available in several types, and it is effective and contributes to reducing the number and severity of infections and the percentage of need for hospitalization.
