The Ministry of Tourism is pursuing artistic programs in restaurants and condoning the “disturbance” of nightclubs!

The Director of Damascus Tourism, Zuhair Erzurumli, revealed that the directorate will, oblige the owners of licensed restaurants that offer a technical program to put sound insulation to reduce the disturbance of the neighborhood, within one month, noting that the directorate will withdraw the license from them in the event of non-compliance, and the unlicensed establishments will be closed immediately.
In turn, a member of the Executive Office in Damascus Governorate, Faisal Sorour, said that four to five violations are organized daily against restaurants that violate laws in terms of presenting a musical program in Old Damascus, but what about the work of nightclubs located in the heart of the city, or in the middle of large cities in Damascus and its countryside ?
According to private information that reached “hashtag”, the number of nightclubs in Damascus and Rif Dimashq governorates is 116 licensed establishments, 36 of which are licensed in Damascus, and in Rif Dimashq 80 facilities are in (Al-Hama, Maaraba, Al-Tal, Airport Road, Moadamiya, Jaramana, Daraa Road). Due to the conditions that the tourism sector has experienced during the current crisis, which led to some of them being out of service, the number of nightclubs in Damascus countryside has become 19, and there are 32 establishments in Damascus.
The number of nightclubs in Al-Tal-Maaraba is 28, of which 6 are currently in service.
With regard to the unlicensed ones, a source in the Ministry of Tourism indicated that in the event of a complaint or seizure of unlicensed nightclubs through the control tours carried out by the judicial police committees working in the ministry and its directorates in the governorates, a violation of the licensing and closure rules will be organized. The credentials required to grant him qualification in accordance with the decisions and regulations in force. Currently, there are no unlicensed clubs.
Regarding the procedure adopted by the Ministry to control the work of nightclubs and restaurants amid the spread of Corona, the source said that the facility’s work is being monitored, taking into account the precautionary measures, including the operating rate, the approval of presenting a technical ceremony, sterilization, masks, and gloves.
With regard to the conditions that must be met to open a nightclub, they are the fulfillment of the required qualification criteria, the approval of the technical program, and the adherence to the required procedures in accordance with the circulars issued.
