The Pharmacists Syndicate in Syria addresses the phenomenon of “pharmacist impersonators” and stricts the idea of training students

The Secretary of the Syrian Pharmacists Syndicate Ziyad Al-Mazloum described all those who work in pharmacies, who are not pharmacy students or graduates, as impersonators or unqualified.
He told “Hashtag” that the penalty is to organize a seizure and refer it to the Ministry of Health, and then the ministry will transfer it to the judiciary for prosecution and accountability.
official decision
Al-Mazloum pointed out that such cases are few in Damascus and its countryside, compared to other governorates.
The Syndicate of Pharmacists in Syria had issued a decision not to accept attendant students in pharmacies except by virtue of an official decision.
This is what some pharmacy students considered an obstructive routine measure, stressing that the presence of “impostors” does not allow them to train in pharmacies, and that the syndicate must suppress this phenomenon.

regulating law
Al-Mazloum added to “Hashtag” that the decision circulated in this regard is not new, but it was not applied in the past.
and that the documents were given to the students at random without making sure that he actually trained.
The students are now required to obtain a decision duly certified by his college and the pharmacy in which he trained, to be submitted to the Syndicate branch in his governorate.
To ensure that he was trained in a pharmacy, through official papers, to ensure that things are going properly and legally. According to him.

Already training
Upon graduation, he is entitled to obtain a recognized legal document stating that he actually trained in a pharmacy.
Al-Mazloum indicated that from this point of view, the two branches of the Syndicate in Damascus and its countryside refrained from providing the graduate students with documents stating that they were trained in pharmacies due to the lack of official papers in this regard.

Al-Mazloum pointed out that this law imposes on the student the necessity of training before graduation with a number of training hours of no less than six hundred hours, which is completed two or three years before graduation.
Transferability
Al-Mazloum indicated the possibility of moving to another governorate, if the trainee wanted to change the pharmacy in which he trained to one affiliated with another branch of the governorate.
Then he can take his file from the branch in which he registered, and submit a request that he wants to complete the stay in a pharmacy belonging to another governorate.

for one time
Al-Mazloum indicated that these procedures are for one time only, and it is not necessary for the trainee student, when moving from one pharmacy to another in the same governorate, to register and obtain official papers as well.
