The Syrian army intercepts a convoy of American armored vehicles in Al-Hasakah

Soldiers of the Syrian Arab Army intercepted a convoy of armored vehicles belonging to the US Army, after it tried to penetrate one of their military checkpoints in the countryside of Al-Hasakah Governorate, the far north-east of Syria, and expelled it from the area, according to “Sputnik” agency.

Local sources in Al-Hasakah countryside said that soldiers and seized one of the Syrian Arab Army’s checkpoints deployed within the 123rd Regiment in the vicinity of the strategic Jabal Kawkab, east of the city, managed today, Tuesday, to expel a group of American military armored vehicles, which tried to reach their checkpoints to penetrate them and enter areas located under the control of the Syrian state.

The sources stated that “a convoy of the American occupation, consisting of 6 military vehicles (armored) accompanied by a jeep belonging to the SDF militiamen loyal to the American army, tried to cross from the villages of (Al-Mujaibara and Sibat), towards one of the American bases in the countryside of Al-Hasakah, so the people stood up to it, with the support of The Syrian Arab Army confronted the convoy and expelled it from the area.”

The sources indicated that the new response comes in the context of the Arab popular and clan rejection of the presence of US forces in their areas and a rejection of their practices, which focus on stealing oil, gas, wheat and underground resources, preventing education, continuing arbitrary arrests and besieging the Syrian people.

And a military source in the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced at the end of last month that: “As part of their commitment to performing their national duties in defending the homeland and preserving the sovereignty of its lands, the heroes of our armed forces intercepted a convoy of the American occupation forces in the eastern Tal Sateh area in the eastern countryside of Qamishli at 22:00 30 pm on June 28 and forced him to return.”
And the source continued: “The heroes of the Syrian Arab Army confirm that they will intercept any vehicle or convoy of the American occupier on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic.”
