The Syrian Minister of Agriculture from Beirut: An Arab economic force must be formed in the region

The Syrian Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Muhammad Hassan Qatana, said that there is the importance of promoting trade and agricultural exchange and addressing all problems of Arab food security.
Minister Qatana said during a meeting at the Syrian Embassy in Beirut attended by the Lebanese Minister of Agriculture Abbas Hajj Hassan that there is a great need to unify all agreements between Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq.
In order to enhance trade and agricultural exchange and activate this exchange to form an Arab economic force in the region, Minister Qatna stressed the need to address all Arab food security problems, stressing the depth of the distinguished brotherly relations between Syria and Lebanon.
Activate the four-way relationship

The Lebanese Minister of Agriculture said that the aim of the Arab agricultural ministerial meeting hosted by Beirut is to revitalize relations between Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Iraq.
He added that it is in the interest of our peoples for the results to be fruitful, especially since there are organizations, including ACSAD, that help in agricultural work and large projects, noting that the Lebanese-Syrian relations.

Syria is an important food basket

Syria’s ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Abdel Karim, said that Syria is an important food basket. In the terrorist war that it faced, agriculture was a strong factor in deepening the structure of steadfastness, the resistance of its people, and an element of sufficiency for a large percentage.
He said that there is aggression and unjust and unjust sanctions against the countries of the region, and we hope that there will be consensus on rescue solutions to face all challenges by finding common ground.

Abdul Karim added that there are experts who can benefit from the country’s rich wealth and abundant production, and confront all the phenomena that prevent benefiting from it.
The meeting was attended by Nasri Khoury, Secretary-General of the Syrian-Lebanese Higher Council, and Nasr Al-Din Al-Obeid, Director-General of the Arab Center for Studies of Dry Areas and Dry Lands (ACSD).
Today, Beirut will host the Arab Quartet Agricultural Ministerial Meeting, in which the agricultural ministers of Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq will participate.
