The Syrian Ministry of Education calls on the international community to help Idlib students

The Syrian Ministry of Education called on the international community to help secure the exit of students from Idlib governorate to sit for their exams, hundreds of whom arrived in Aleppo “from hot spots.”

The ministry said that a third batch of students coming from “hot areas”, comprising 878 high school students in its scientific and literary branches, arrived in Aleppo via the Al-Tayyah crossing, and they were hosted in 10 centers in Hanano housing after securing the necessary accommodation requirements for them.

The ministry had said on its Facebook page that it called on “the international community and interested organizations to intervene with the concerned authorities to allow students wishing to apply for the basic and secondary education certificate from the areas of Idlib governorate that are not under the control of the Syrian state to go out to their hosting places in Hama governorate.”

The ministry stated that the government secured Saraqib / Tarnaba crossing for this purpose, and that the number of students is 232.

The ministry indicated that it had provided “hosting centers with all accommodation requirements for them, including accommodation, food, health care and education, to ensure their assistance in taking comfortable exams.”

The ministry stated that the government had “given all the necessary instructions to open the crossings and to secure all requirements for its students to reach their centers safely and securely,” and indicated that this year is “the third in which they are prevented from accessing their examination centers.”
