Minister of Education Darem Tabbaa met with the UAE Minister of Education, after strengthening educational cooperation between Syria and the UAE.
The Minister of Education, Darem Tabbaa, met with Hussain Al Hammadi, the UAE Minister of Education, via the Internet, with the aim of strengthening educational cooperation between the two countries, and discussing issues related to the launch of the award for the best Arab teacher, according to the local newspaper Al Watan.
“Syria is preparing to start the school year according to the festival of joy for children’s return to school after the Corona pandemic on the fifth of September, pointing to the importance of joint educational cooperation between the two countries in the field of exchanging academic and student experiences and e-learning, especially after the experience of creating educational platforms, and working on the first tripartite virtual laboratory Dimensions in Arabic in the world,” said the Minister of Education.
“Work is currently underway on social emotional learning and the reflection of its application on the students’ personality, solving their problems and planning their future,” the minister said.
“Some of the schools in Syria are ancient and continue in their role, and for hundreds of years they have been a center of scientific and educational radiation, such as the Sahiba school in Rukn al-Din in Damascus, which dates back to the era of the Ayyubids,” the minister added.
For his part, the UAE Minister of Education, Hussain Al Hammadi, expressed his welcome to Syria’s joining the list of countries whose teachers will be able to participate and compete for the Mohammed bin Zayed Award for the best teacher, considering that “the possibility is available for cooperation and exchange of experiences in the areas of curricula, artificial intelligence, the development of national exams and interactive education.” .
He spoke about the importance of benefiting from the excellence of Syrian frameworks in the field of the Arabic language, and working on designing attractive and stimulating learning content in the Arabic language.
