The former member of the Syrian People’s Assembly, and the “chairman of the National Initiative for Syrian Kurds” Omar Ossi, revealed a draft document to resolve the differences between the “Self-Administration” and the Syrian government with the aim of joint coordination to repel any Turkish aggression towards the areas controlled by the “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) north eastern Syria.
Al-Watan newspaper quoted Ossi as saying that “the document includes several items, as the Kurdish issue is considered a Syrian national issue par excellence, and its solution is in Damascus and not in any other capital. Syrian National Geographic.
“The document refers to the adoption of a decentralized system in governing the country, and it also includes the necessity of implementing Local Administration Law No. 107,” he added, stressing that “the Local Administration Law can be approached with the Autonomous Administration Law enforced by the “Syrian Democratic Council” (SD). In addition, it includes the development of the areas east of the Euphrates and the Syrian Jazeera within the framework of balanced development and the return of the Syrian state’s political, military, security and administrative institutions to all areas that are outside the government’s control in the Euphrates and the Syrian Jazeera and other areas.
He pointed out that one of the provisions of this draft document calls for the start of a serious, immediate and national Syrian dialogue between the Kurdish parties and the Syrian authorities, and that it bears a national character and is subject to negotiation and amendment.
He revealed that he formally submitted the document to the Autonomous Administration and to some other Syrian Kurdish forces, as it was presented to Syrian officials, stressing that the parties are studying this draft.
The talk about this document comes after the Turkish statements increased about its intention to launch a military aggression against the SDF positions in northeastern Syria.
