Mari, in which he attacked the licensed parties and considered them parties unrelated to the opposition and had no real value, Abu Qasem said that “Al-Tadamon Party is the first party licensed in accordance with the Syrian law 2011 and we work according to the political parties’ law and the constitution.”
Abu Qassem addressed the candidate, Mari, saying that you are currently a candidate for the constitution of the Syrian Arab Republic, and you claim that you are the Secretary General of a front whose number is only 10 people who have no political value. They came with you from Egypt with a certain settlement, while we, as parties, are currently registered in the records of the Party Affairs Committee, with numbers exceeding tens of thousands. My party has reached nearly 20,000 members, and we are represented in the People’s Assembly and local administrative councils. ”
Abu Qasim continued directing the speech to Mari: “You did not get a seat in the last parliamentary elections, you did not get votes, and you did not publish a single picture in the previous elections. Personally, in the previous elections, I did a small advertisement that cost me a certain amount, and now each image costs tens of millions?!
Abu Qasem added, “We had a lot of work during the past ten years while you were from the opposition abroad and were separated from the Coordination Body in 2012 because of the violation, and in Egypt you tried to circumvent the coordination body by meeting you with the Syrian National Council, and in Cairo you had meetings with members of The council, and you were a member of the preparatory committee at the Cairo conference, and you had a meeting with a movement whose core statement is to bring down the regime and allow outside interference.
He adds, “We are now proud of our official capacity according to the Syrian law and constitution, and I have always asked you why your party does not authorize! to answer; I do not have 200 or 300 million.”
Abu Qassem returns and confirms again, that candidate Mari has resided in Cairo for more than a year, and adds: “everyone knows that you have lived in Cairo for more than a year and it is known in which house you have been and there are witnesses to this, and you called me on Saturday April 24th to ask me to support your candidacy as a party because of my value among the opposition, and when I told you that I am currently in a meeting in the political office and we may take a decision to participate in the elections, you told me that it is not worth it to run, because the matter is settled I am the candidate of the internal Syrian opposition in the presidential elections and I need some support.
He continues: “Then I told you that if the matter is settled, we will not participate in the elections, because if we participate, we will not be able to get 35 votes in light of the dominance of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party on the seats in Parliament.” The Secretary of the Al-Tadamon party concluded: “We are now starting to initiate a court case for defamation, defamation and treason.”
