Corona injuries decreased by 80%: the fourth peak is not excluded.
Essam Al-Amin, Director of Al-Mouwasat University Hospital, said that the rates of coronavirus infections recorded a remarkable decline during the past month, and the reason, according to him, was due to several factors.
In a special statement to “Hashtag”, Al-Amin confirmed that societal immunity began to form among citizens, which contributed to the decrease in the number of injuries recorded in the country.
Al-Amin pointed out that the current infections that are referred to the hospital are for people of age groups over the age of 50 and their immunity is usually lower, and in most cases that are referred to the hospital, they are monitored and followed up from home.
Since the beginning of this month, the daily infection registration rate has decreased, according to the Ministry of Health reports, to 10 or less.
This was confirmed by the Director of Al-Mowasat Hospital, adding: “The curve of corona infections decreased to nearly 80 percent, and the reason, according to him, is due to the fact that viruses are going through peaks, such as the first peak that we witnessed in the 7th and 8th months, and then the curve decreased in the 11th and 12th months until the month 3 Where it returned to rise at the beginning of the 5th month, after which the curve began to flatten and then decreased.
Al-Amin says that there are no guarantees that the country will not enter a fourth peak of the spread of the virus, especially with the return of the high number of infections in neighboring countries such as Lebanon and Palestine, and the entry of new mutants of the virus into the world.
As for vaccinations, the director of Al-Mowasat Hospital said, “We are still at the beginning of the stage of giving the vaccine, and so far there are no side effects, except for a high temperature of some bodies that lasts from 24 to 48 hours.”
Regarding those who received the vaccine and the possibility of contracting the virus again, Al-Amin says: “It is possible to contract corona even after taking the anti-vaccine, but the infection is mild.”
