The first of its kind…An anti-kidnapping campaign: a reward for those who catch the kidnappers

The reward, which was allocated by the voluntary charity Saed Association, to those who contribute to the arrest of the kidnappers of the 6-year-old child, Fawaz Qetaifan, rose to more than 64 million Syrian pounds, within hours of announcing the campaign.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Saed” Issam Habbal, stated on his personal page on “Facebook”, that he launched a campaign yesterday evening, Friday, to help arrest the kidnappers of Qetaifan, and said that he started himself when he donated half a million pounds, then his daughter and wife followed him with a hundred thousand each.
Habbal indicated that he will not receive any amount, but will only register the donor’s phone number, and that the full amount will be provided to those who help arrest the kidnappers.
About two hours after launching the “Hand over the kidnappers, save our child” campaign, Habal announced an increase in the value of donations to 6 million and 50 thousand pounds, in addition to a modern mobile phone.
As of this morning, the amount reached more than 64 million pounds.
Habal said, in a direct recording on his page, that no one in the association has received any amount, and that what it is doing now is recording the value of the donations, with the numbers of the donors within “Data”, provided that the amount is actually collected after the arrest of the kidnappers, so that the reward will be delivered to who helped.
Habbal indicated that he contacted the office of the Minister of Interior, Muhammad al-Rahmoun, and that he is expected to meet him today in person, to clarify this point in particular.
Regarding his initiative, Habbal said that responding to the kidnappers’ demands and collecting the ransom amount they demand is a kind of “kidnapping legislation” and rewarding the kidnapper, so
It is reported that the child Fawaz Qetaifan was kidnapped about 4 months ago, while he was going to school in the town of “Ibtaa” in the countryside of Daraa. The kidnappers were demanding a large ransom (500 million Syrian pounds) to hand him over.

Yesterday, they broadcast a “video” in which the child appears to be subjected to severe torture, and says: “For God’s sake, don’t you hit me.”
